Even on the best of days, life can be challenging.  

If you have experienced trauma and/or loss at any point in your life, your ability to manage the 'normal' stressors of life

can become greatly diminished.  Physical health can deteriorate.  Mental health issues can either show up, or flare up.  

Life can go from challenging to unbearable fairly quickly.  That's where therapy can be helpful.

Feeling 'stuck', hopeless, or 'crazy' means something needs to shift...something needs to be resolved.

Despite living in the most LGBTQ-friendly era in American history, living authentically as lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or trans can still be a highly stressful experience.  LGBTQ people who are from religious/conservative communities are many times faced with the possibility of losing everything.  Individuals who come out later in life struggle through a complete identity and community change.  It is hard work to make these types of life changing transitions...  (For more, click here.)

Other Offerings

In addition to the above, I also have training in EMDR which is used to treat trauma.  I also work with individuals experiencing Complex-PTSD and/or Dissociative Disorders.

 

I work with parents who have children with disabilities, individuals who have experienced religious/spiritual abuse, and patients with differing forms of dementia and their families.
